Air Show exhibition - Feb.09 - 13 2005
The fifth edition of the show is being held at Air force Station Yelahanka, Bangalore. The exhibition is being organized by the Defence Exhibition Organisation under Department of Defence Production and Supplies Ministry of Defence, Govt of India. The Air force station Yelahanka (AFSY) is a training base for pilots of the Indian Air force and the Indian Navy, but its infrastructure and facilities are used for mounting the air show. Bangalore, which is now synonymous with Aero India, is a popular business destination that is fast becoming one of the major international hubs of the Aviation, Aerospace and Information Technology industries. The first airshow was held in 1996 and the Aero India 2005 would be the fifth show in this series. The show has grown both in stature and size with each successive edition. During Aero India 2003 more than 250 companies including 176 companies from outside India, participated in this show. Visit by delegates from 24 countries further added to the business opportunities for the exhibitors. Plans are afoot to substantially improve upon the previous expositions with better infrastucural facilities, increase in indoor display area and more opportunities for business to business interactions.
